University of Kempten

For many years we conduct an intensive dialogue with the University of Kempten. There are often resulting attractive projects from this cooperation for the students. Either as an trainee, working student, diploma student or after graduation as young professionals.


Currently, research projects resist with the Chair of Electrical Engineering of Prof. Dr. Ihrig and the Chair of Mechanical Engineering of Prof. Dr. Kurz.
In addition, we count, how many other companies in our region,to the supporters circle of the University and we are pleased with their professional and successful career.

Orthopaedic University Clinic in Heidelberg II

As part of the MoreGait project we cooperate with the Foundation Orthopaedic University Hospital II in Heidelberg. This is the only university center in Germany, which offers the full range of acute care and rehabilitation of paraplegic.  The department has its own area of research, which is led for 13 years by Dr.-Ing Rüdiger Rupp.

Institute for Measurement, Control and Microtechnology

Due to the cooperation of Mr. Markus Knestel as a research assistant at the Institute of Measurement, Control and Microtechnology headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Dietmayer, is very close scientific and personal contact.

The research of the Institute of Measurement, Control and Microtechnology deal with the modeling, analysis and simulation of dynamic systems, design methods for regulations and controls, model-based measuring methods as well as processes for information fusion of multi-channel sensor currents  Another focus are methods of state and existence estimate of sensor-detected objects and classification methods.  Among the fields of application include in particular Especially the automotive and medical technology are part of the fields of application In teaching the basic introductory lectures for Measurement, Automation and Control technologies, as well as further optional lectures to current methods and practices in this special field are offered.

Institute for Energy Conversion and Storage

The Institute of Energy Conversion and Storage is part of the Faculty of Engineering of the University and has its emphasis in power electronics and energy technology as well as in the automotive sector.  One main focus of the department is in the field "Energy management in island systems", especially hybrid vehicle drives.  For this purpose, there is a modular test bench in scale 1: 1 and a simulation platform to study various concepts of propulsion.  In numerous studies and cooperation projects, Hybrid structures are examined for their efficiency and other properties  Together with industry partners, components are tested , systems designed and operating strategies optimized.
